About Torino Ranch

Acquired by compassionate Las Vegas philanthropist and developer Brett Torino in 1994, the Torino Ranch emerged from a state of disrepair to become a symbol of meticulous preservation. With his construction expertise, Torino embarked on a mission to rejuvenate the sprawling 162-acre property, salvaging it from years of neglect. A visionary decision led to the protection of 122-acres safeguarding the land from development. Meanwhile, the remaining 42-acres became the canvas for Torino Ranch’s transformation.

The ranch’s roots delve deep into history, tracking back to its original inhabitants, the Paiute Indians, whose legacy lends an aura of fascination to the landscape. Today, the Torino Ranch stands as a refuge boasting an array of facilities such as a lodge, an amphitheater, a swimming pool, a village inclusive of cabins, bath and shower facilities, medical service building, greenhouse and a serene lake that beckons both recreations and group events.

Over three decades, BTF has harnessed the Torino Ranch as a haven for charitable collaborations, hosting enriching summer camps and programs that offer children a nurturing escape while fostering growth and learning with many local non-profits including Camp Cartwheel with Nevada Childhood Cancer and Sunshine Nevada. Additionally, the Torino Ranch serves as a hub for ecological initiatives, nurturing bees and harvesting fruits for preserves and offering a butterfly, bird and animal sanctuary dedicated to preserving endangered species from extinction.

BTF has established lasting partnerships with prominent nonprofits such as the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Sunshine Nevada, Save Red Rock, and Clark County School District via the educational program. For more than two and a half decades, BTF has utilized Torino Ranch as a sanctuary for young people and mentors, collaborating with charitable organizations to host enriching summer camps and programs. These initiatives offer children a nurturing escape while promoting growth and learning.

In collaboration with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, BTF created the Brett Torino Classroom at Sunrise Children’s Hospital, which is a fully accredited K-12 program for kids with cancer – the first of its kind. The classroom, which is open 5 days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, is equipped with school supplies, computers, and iPads and has an annual enrollment of 180 children.
